CepRass inks MOU with NCCE

Center for Policy, Research & Strategic Studies (CepRass) on Friday, 17th July 2020, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Council for Civic Education (NCCE) to collaborate on research and knowledge dissemination. The ceremony was held at the NCCE’s conference room in Kotu.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of CepRass, Mr. Lamin Dampha underscored the importance of research in civic education. He highlighted that CepRass has the capacity to conduct research on the effectiveness of advocacy tools of civic education. Dampha posited that CepRass should be able to advise NCCE why low voter turnout in elections with evidence from research data.

For his part, the Chairman of NCCE, Alhagie Sering Faye expressed a shared view that this deepened partnership will help to facilitate the necessary research-based evidence in their civic education programmes. He assured of his Council’s determination to work with CepRass to improve civic education in the country.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both CepRass and NCCE.
